About This Event
A Cloud Native Belgium meetup hosted by Dataroots at their offices in Leuven. The evening is themed around Gateway API, the Kubernetes-native approach to traffic routing that is rapidly replacing the legacy Ingress model. Multiple sessions cover different aspects of Gateway API, service mesh, and traffic management in cloud-native environments.
My Contribution
Presenting on the security features and aspects of Gateway API, covering how the new routing model improves on Ingress from a security perspective. Topics include role-based route attachment, cross-namespace security boundaries, TLS configuration patterns, policy attachment for authentication and authorization, and how Gateway API integrates with service mesh security postures. The talk examines how organizations can leverage Gateway API's security-first design to enforce zero-trust principles at the traffic routing layer.
